This is for both domestic and commercial users, because sure enough, there are those business enterprises out there that have chimney stacks attached to the buildings they own or rent. In many cases, the industrial chimney stack is necessary, depending on the manufacturing processes being carried out inside of the building. There must be an outlet for fumes to escape, and these days because of pollution, these need to be strictly controlled, whether legislatively or on own initiative.
But at home, many folks are guilty of taking their chimney stack for granted. It is on the upper reaches of the roof and not given much of a thought. It is hardly ever seen and sometimes not used much either. That is a pity, and what a waste. Those that have been using their fireplace during the colder months of the year may have noticed that things are not as cozy as they would want it to be. In fact, it has become unpleasantly stuffy.
The main reason for this is because the chimney has not seen a decent cleaning for quite some time, who knows, even years. Folks, it needs to be cleaned, not just once off, but regularly. And because the chimney may have been neglected for all those years, it may need some professional chimney relining as well. Those chimneys and fireplaces that have not been put to work as it should be by its owners have been used otherwise.
Noisy little birds have come to make these poor neglected little chimneys their homes. But it’s time to say good-bye little birds because now I am going to give my old chimney a good, decent sweep for once and a few times more.
